Wolf Parade has teamed up with Trixie Mattel, the legendary American singer, producer, DJ, actor, drag queen, and recognized “Skinny Legend,” for a new dance remix of the band’s breakout streaming hit, “I’ll Believe In Anything.” The fun rework keeps the spirit of the original alive while building into a driving and euphoric track for the dancefloor.
As strong allies of the LGBTQ+ community, Wolf Parade partnering with Trixie shows the kind of community focus and authentic engagement that is foundational for both indie bands and the gay community. Proceeds from “I’ll Believe In Anything” (Trixie Mattel Remix) will go to Lambert House LGBTQ+ youth center, which serves over 700 youth annually in 12 locations in King County, WA: “Youth come to make friends and to find resources. “I’ll Believe In Anything” is Wolf Parade’s biggest song to date, due to its prominent use in the steamy hit TV show Heated Rivalry (see February 9th Vulture interview).
On Spotify alone, the original recording of “I’ll Believe In Anything” has now reached 110 million streams to date, with 90 million of those amassed since the show’s premiere in late November 2025. The song’s placement in the show also helped grow the band’s listenership on the platform to over 4 million monthly listeners.
Wolf Parade previously announced North American headlining and festival dates for fall of 2026, resuming Tuesday, November 10th in Calgary, AB at The Palace Theatre and running through Saturday, December 12th, in Toronto, ON at History. The announcement includes their headlining play on Sunday, November 29th at The Showbox at The Market in Seattle with support from newly signed label mate Lex Walton.

About Wolf Parade: Wolf Parade was founded in 2003 in Montreal, Quebec. After a pair of self-titled EPs, the band - Hadji Bakara (electronic manipulations), Dan Boeckner (guitar, vocals), Spencer Krug (keyboards, vocals), Arlen Thompson (drums) - released Apologies to the Queen Mary to widespread acclaim in September, 2005. The album was recorded by Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock.
The band followed Apologies with 2008’s At Mount Zoomer and 2010’s Expo 86. After a lengthy hiatus, Wolf Parade returned to Sub Pop to release two more albums, Cry Cry Cry in 2017 and Thin Mind in 2020.
About Trixie Mattel: Trixie Mattel is an American singer, actor, drag queen, and recognized “Skinny Legend.” Trixie is the winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 3 (originally competing on season 7). She is also a Billboard Heatseekers #1 charting recording artist (One Stone, 2018), a wildly successful touring act, and one half of a comic duo with Katya on YouTube (“UNHhhh” & Netflix’s “I Like To Watch”).
Additional accomplishments include her documentary, “Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts,” self-launched cosmetics company Trixie Cosmetics, her “Skinny Legend” comedy special, a New York Times best-selling book with Katya called “Trixie and Katya’s Guide to Modern Womanhood,” and also started a podcast with Katya called “The Bald And The Beautiful”.

On October 30th, noisy, genre-bending four-piece PISS will release their debut effort, you made me / skin on linen, on LP/CD/DSPs worldwide from Sub Pop and in Canada from Paper Bag Records. The Vancouver, B.C., band combines punk, poetry, sound collage, performance art, and visual art, creating a multidisciplinary body of work that blurs the line between personal and political.
you made me / skin on linen, depicts a childhood shaped by structural, systemic, and intimate violence. Throughout the record, art-making motifs serve as metaphors for the myriad ways we carry the effects of this violence: each experience leaves an impression, gradually creating or deforming the self, much like a piece of clay molded by every mark it receives. The record resists simple conclusions; rather than offering a single perspective, it examines violence as a ubiquitous facet of our culture. It asks questions—how does violence impact our development? Are our wounds inextricable parts of us? And if not, then where do our wounds end and we begin?—and allows the listener to devise their own answers.
Today, the band has shared their debut offering, “time loop at hot slit,” a frenetic noise-punk examination of girlhood in a culture of sexualization. The song pairs a danceable chorus with witty, poetic lyrics wailed in anguish and uncanny eroticism. This official video was co-directed by PISS frontperson Taylor Zantingh and Vivyen Sagsen. Filmed at the now-closed-down DIY space, Take Yr Time Back in Vancouver, BC, Zantingh shares: “Some of the people with whom I shared the earliest version of “time loop at hot slit” take the stage to sing it themselves. Sera Cahoone is sharing the official video for “Hits Right” from her new album, I’ve Missed You All These Years, out today, Friday, August 28th worldwide from Sub Pop.
The sweet and triumphant “Hits Right” visual was directed by Tony Fulgham and shot by Carrie Robinson at Cowgirls, Inc. in Seattle. It finds Sera sitting in a bar, watching her friends have fun, wishing she could do the same, and fantasizing about what it would be like not to be uptight and lonely.
Sera will support I’ve Missed You All These Years with live dates this fall. On Saturday, September 5th at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival. Later in the month, she’ll head out to the East Coast and Midwest US for a string of dates beginning Friday, September 18th in Nashville, TN, with a show at Brown’s Diner during AMERICANAFEST (for the NITO Indie Spotlight, 4-8 pm). Iron & Wine has announced the release of Hen’s Teeth (Deluxe Edition), available worldwide on September 22nd from Sub Pop. This expanded edition features six new recordings in total: four previously unreleased songs along with acoustic versions of two fan favorites from Hen’s Teeth (see full track list below).
The four unreleased songs come from sessions done in Los Angeles during the recording of sibling records Light Verse and Hen’s Teeth. “California Sober,” available today, was the last song written and recorded during the sessions, and its playful nature, hinted at in the title, is the perfect way to wind down summer while easing into fall.
Along with “California Sober,” Iron & Wine is also sharing an acoustic version of “In Your Ocean,” which captured the hearts and attention of fans at radio when it was released earlier this year. This acoustic version brings an intimate take on this beloved song.
Hen’s Teeth was released in February of this year and featured two duets with the multi-Grammy-winning band, I’m With Her, along with a cast of musicians including Griffin Goldsmith, Sebastian Steinberg, David Garza, Beth Goodfellow, Paul Cartwright, Tyler Chester, and Kyle Crane.
As previously announced, the band will begin their North American headline tour on October 8th in Denver, CO, with shows in Salt Lake City, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Dallas, and Memphis. Lex Walton (née Alex) is an American songwriter, actress, prose poet, and filmmaker whose work is defined by an unflinching confessionality and live performances by ecstatic masochism and flailing. In addition to her catalog of a dozen or so mostly home-recorded albums, EPs and singles, she has also recorded collaborations with Devi McCallion (Black Dresses, Girls Rituals), Geese, and Ezra Furman, written the pop music manifesto The Sound Rocker’s Prayer, and starred as lead character “Circle” in Louise Weard’s five-hour epic film Castration Movie Anthology II: The Best Of Both Worlds.
