Sera Cahoone is sharing the official video for “Hits Right” from her new album, I’ve Missed You All These Years, out today, Friday, August 28th worldwide from Sub Pop.
The sweet and triumphant “Hits Right” visual was directed by Tony Fulgham and shot by Carrie Robinson at Cowgirls, Inc. in Seattle. It finds Sera sitting in a bar, watching her friends have fun, wishing she could do the same, and fantasizing about what it would be like not to be uptight and lonely.
Sera will support I’ve Missed You All These Years with live dates this fall. On Saturday, September 5th at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival. Later in the month, she’ll head out to the East Coast and Midwest US for a string of dates beginning Friday, September 18th in Nashville, TN, with a show at Brown’s Diner during AMERICANAFEST (for the NITO Indie Spotlight, 4-8 pm). The tour will continue through Saturday, October 3rd in Medford, MA at Deep Cuts. The tour will include stops in Minneapolis, Chicago, Vienna (VA), Philadelphia, Ridgewood (NY), and Medford (MA). On I’ve Missed You All These Years, her sixth record, Cahoone is in full command of her powers. Iron & Wine has announced the release of Hen’s Teeth (Deluxe Edition), available worldwide on September 22nd from Sub Pop. This expanded edition features six new recordings in total: four previously unreleased songs along with acoustic versions of two fan favorites from Hen’s Teeth (see full track list below).
The four unreleased songs come from sessions done in Los Angeles during the recording of sibling records Light Verse and Hen’s Teeth. “California Sober,” available today, was the last song written and recorded during the sessions, and its playful nature, hinted at in the title, is the perfect way to wind down summer while easing into fall.
Along with “California Sober,” Iron & Wine is also sharing an acoustic version of “In Your Ocean,” which captured the hearts and attention of fans at radio when it was released earlier this year. This acoustic version brings an intimate take on this beloved song.
Hen’s Teeth was released in February of this year and featured two duets with the multi-Grammy-winning band, I’m With Her, along with a cast of musicians including Griffin Goldsmith, Sebastian Steinberg, David Garza, Beth Goodfellow, Paul Cartwright, Tyler Chester, and Kyle Crane.
As previously announced, the band will begin their North American headline tour on October 8th in Denver, CO, with shows in Salt Lake City, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Dallas, and Memphis. Today, Sub Pop welcomes NYC-based multidisciplinary artist Lex Walton to the label, releasing her music worldwide in 2026 and beyond.
In celebration of today’s announcement, she is releasing her unwavering and iconoclastic seven-song label debut, ULTIMATE LOVE FOREVER, which is out now on all streaming platforms from Sub Pop. Watch the blaring, absurdist official video for the record highlight, “Hipster Runoff,” directed by and starring Lex.
Lex says of the video, “In this video I tried to capture the lifespan of the blogosphere buzzband aughts-rocker with all of its triumphs and valleys and particular cruelties, culminating in the natural gasps of dextrorotatory histrionics when irony fails, and one is faced with the possibility of fading into obscurity forever. Starring yours truly as The Hipster Runoff, of course.”
All songs on ULTIMATE LOVE FOREVER were written by Lex Walton, produced by Lex and Dan Boeckner, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Ben Greenberg at Thump and Circular Ruin in Williamsburg, with assistant engineer Alice Cohen.

Lex Walton (née Alex) is an American songwriter, actress, prose poet, and filmmaker whose work is defined by an unflinching confessionality and live performances by ecstatic masochism and flailing. In addition to her catalog of a dozen or so mostly home-recorded albums, EPs and singles, she has also recorded collaborations with Devi McCallion (Black Dresses, Girls Rituals), Geese, and Ezra Furman, written the pop music manifesto The Sound Rocker’s Prayer, and starred as lead character “Circle” in Louise Weard’s five-hour epic film Castration Movie Anthology II: The Best Of Both Worlds.
PASTE says of her song “I Wish I Was An M80”: “Walton’s wiggly, anxious power pop wades through pages of dead links and forum threads to get to its incendiary hooks … anachronistic collage of Edwardian portrait artists, country greats, and noise rock heroes…a roadside altar …With its lo-fi hissing and tongue-twisting one-liners....” The Quietus offers this: “For fans of early Jonathan Richman, NYC gutter punks Dollhouse, or staring at the fluorescent lights of the Walgreens ceiling on your third day withdrawing from psych meds, barely able to parse the words ‘Medicaid coverage has lapsed’ as a pharmacist misgenders you. Today, Friday, August 21st, 2026 – free from the shackles of timeliness, Sub Pop is belatedly sharing details about our two new retail locations here in Seattle: the recently opened Sub Pop Waterfront located, not at all coincidentally, on Seattle’s magnificent new waterfront, and Sub Pop in the KEXP Gathering Space at Seattle Center, in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood.
Sub Pop Waterfront, located in the Maritime Building directly across from Colman Dock (the WA State Ferries terminal) on the Seattle waterfront, features a dazzling array of t-shirts, hats, hoodies, various knick-knacks, trinkets, and objets d’art conspicuously emblazoned with the words “Sub Pop,” as well as a wide selection of actual records (vinyl LPs, CDs, probably some cassettes!), a bunch of really nice music and art-themed books, and fascinating Sub Pop Records ephemera on display throughout.
Our new home in the world-renowned KEXP Gathering Space has been expanded and redesigned, and now resides along the south wall of the space. In it, you’ll find a hand-picked selection of our expansive collection of the previously mentioned Sub Pop-branded merch (mostly shirts, hats, flannels, sweatshirts, and the like) and a wide array of vinyl records, both new and used, some released by Sub Pop or Hardly Art, and others that were not. Plus, there’s a Caffe Vita coffee shop in the KEXP Gathering Space and even public restrooms!
On Saturday, August 22nd, Sub Pop in the KEXP Gathering Space will be open to ticket holders attending the sold-out KEXP BBQ 2026, which includes performances from Ty Segall, Arlo Parks, Angine De Poitrine, Los Mirlos, Packaging, and Sea Lemon. There will also be sets from KEXP DJs, activities for the whole family to enjoy, food from local vendors for purchase, exclusive merch for sale, and a bar (with ID). Sub Pop has signed the prolific and mythical Twisted Teens, the New Orleans band led by Caspian Halliwell and RJ Santos, to release their music throughout the known universe in 2026 and beyond. The band has already released two acclaimed albums in 2026: Blame the Clown on Chain Smoking Records (January) and Florida Water Blues on Going Underground (July). Watch the official videos for the Florida Water Bluestitle track and its second single, “Swamp,” now.
In its “Best New Music” review of Blame the Clown, Pitchfork says of the band’s music, “It’s garage punk with an old-school country twang; as their personality seeps through the sound like dye, it takes on the color of music’s sepia-toned past and technicolor present (8.2/10).”
The Guardian offers this: “Not one but two of the year’s best albums so far are authored by a ragtag, deeply charismatic band from Louisiana named Twisted Teens, who bear Pynchonian names – Caspian Halliwell and RJ “Razor Ramone” Santos – a console steel guitar and, in Halliwell case, one of rock’s greatest, most soulful voices in many years. Virtuosic when it counts, ramshackle when necessary…”
Twisted Teens will hit the road next week, starting with two Southern California shows supporting The Breeders and immediately followed by a headlining run up the West Coast. These dates begin and end in Los Angeles, first on Monday, August 24th, at the Hollywood Palladium, and ending Friday, September 4th, with a sold-out show at Zebulon.
Then in November, Twisted Teens will headline a sold-out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on Tuesday, November 3rd. Immediately after, they will join recent tour mates Kurt Vile and The Violators on their headlining run, beginning Wednesday, November 4th in Buffalo, NY, at Asbury Hall and running through Tuesday, November 24th in Baltimore, MD, at Ottobar.
Twisted Teens will also close out 2026 with a tour of Australia beginning Friday, December 11th, in Melbourne at Howler and ending Wednesday, December 16th, in Sydney, at Oxford Art Factory. The tour includes a stop in Meredith, Victoria, on Saturday, December 12th, 2026, for a performance at Meredith Music Festival. Tickets for these shows are on sale now.
