For the first time on our website, we have a Fleet Foxes t-shirt available. We are a bit nervous that our site won’t be able to handle the extra e-traffic generated by the high-demand for these t-shirts. I guess what I’m saying is, get em while you can.
Send us a sticker and we’ll put it on the sticker wall in the kitchen here at HQ. Your sticker will be famous even if you’re not!

While it’s likely that we have already tipped our hand with their appearance at our 20th anniversary festival (and also with bits of press coverage like this Seattle Weekly piece), we are exceedingly thrilled to announce that we are now working with the band Obits!
Let’s meet the men of Obits!
Rick Froberg—-guitar, vocals
Sohrab Habibion—-guitar, vocals
Rick was in Pitchfork; , Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes. Sohrab was in Edsel. Scott was (and is, for about another week, apparently) in Shortstack. And, according to that Seattle Weekly article linked above Greg Simpson is easily the best musician in the band—no small feat in the company he’s keeping here.
They are an amazing band, an excellent group of people and we are very excited to be working with them.
The plan is to release the first Obits full-length record album sometime in the first few months of 2009.
The Sub Pop 20th Anniversary Festival was a bliss filled weekend, so bliss filled in fact, that there is no way we would remember who played if it weren’t for our Official Sub Pop 20th Anniversary Festival T-shirts sporting the extensive line-up on the back. If you were at the festival and didn’t get a chance to pick one up then, here’s your chance. If you weren’t at the festival, here’s your chance to lie and have irrefutable evidence that you were there. Simply cut and paste a photo of your face with the included picture of the neo-grunge kids and show it to folks while wearing the shirt. Tell everyone that Green River ruled. People will be very impressed; people are easily impressed.
