Today we have for you the brand new video trailer you might have noticed above which features the lovely Sera Cahoone and makes mention of not only her upcoming 9/25/12 album, Deer Creek Canyon, but also features some music off said album. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
We also hope that you take note that in addition to this new video clip, as of today you can also find the free Sera Cahoone download for “Naked” off Deer Creek Canyon on Sub Pop’s SoundCloud Page as well as on services like Rdio and Spotify as well as iTunes.
If you like what you’ve seen and heard thus far, we suspect you might be pleased to know that Sera’s Deer Creek Canyon is now available for pre-order and you can find her album at places like Amazon and itunes as well as right here on subpop.com, where we just happen to be offering Sub Pop customers (who order from us before street date) a limited edition 7" featuring two non-album tracks,“Dog Song” by Sera Cahoone, and “I Like to Fuck” by Toby and Skeeter (Featuring Sera Cahoone and Jason Kardong). Also, customers who pre-order the album from subpop.com on vinyl LP will receive the limited, colored-vinyl Loser Edition of Deer Creek Canyon. It’s worth mentioning again that both of these subpop.com pre-order offers are limited and available only while supplies last, so order quick from subpop.com if these sound to your liking.
Bliten Trapper’s newest video directed by Daniel Elkayam (Blitzen Trapper’s “Black River Killer” & “The Tree”) is a heartfelt and poignant video for American Golwing’s track, “Girl in a Coat”, which stars the band’s drummer Brian Koch and his grandfather, Arthur Koch. Brian Koch, who also wrote and produced the video, stated, "Four years ago I interviewed my grandfather at the age of 96 to talk about his life. I was struck by how, even though so much had become blurry, confused or completely fallen away from his memory, some things remained. Just shy of his 100th birthday, Daniel and I began to create a video from my grandfather’s perspective, blurring the boundaries of time and space in memory. “Girl In A Coat,” with its wearied narrative of retrospection, seemed the perfect match for the concept."
Blitzen Trapper are currently on a headline tour supporting American Goldwing and will immediately follow-up their late summer tour to act as main support for labelmates The Head and The Heart, for a tour that will begin on September 18th in Spokane, WA at Knitting Factory and wrap up October 10th in Eugene, OR at the McDonald Theatre. The band’s complete tour schedule is listed below.
Additionally, fans will be able to stream Blitzen Trapper’s upcoming set at the Newport Folk Fest on July 27th, via NPR. More details on that event available on the NPR website.

Now that you’ve seen and heard a little more from the band, we’re happy to tell you that Husky’s debut album, Forever So, is available as of today via Sub Pop on iTunes,
as is the pre-order option for the album on subpop.com for folks seeking to own Forever So on CD/LP.
Those of you that do pre-order early from subpop.com will also be the likely recipient of the subpop.com pre-order incentive of a Husky Tote Bag and the opportunity to take advantage of specially priced bundle offers of album + t-shirts. This tote bag thing is a while-supplies-last type of deal, so you should probably order now if your tote bag wants are feeling particularly feverish.
While we are dispensing of useful news, it’s definitely worth mentioning that Husky is mere days away from starting their tour with label-mates The Head and the Heart.
