Watch Lex Walton’s New Official Video For “Adrian Borland Will Have His Revenge On London”

Today, Lex Walton is sharing the official video for “Adrian Borland Will Have His Revenge On London” one of the standout tracks from her iconoclastic seven-song label debut, ULTIMATE LOVE FOREVER, which is out now on all streaming platforms from Sub Pop.

Lex says of the video,“Filmed by me and Lev Heftler the day after my apartment burned down as we day drank and stumbled through the wreckage trying to salvage all we could. Set designs of manmade disaster direct the eyes and movements and a bottle of gin recovered from the freezer enables them.”

ULTIMATE LOVE FOREVER will be available on CD/LP on in North America on Friday, November 20th, 2026, and in the EU/UK on Friday, January 22nd, 2027 from Sub Pop. LP preorders in North America from megamart.subpop.com, in the EU/UK from Mega Mart Europe, and your local record store will receive the limited Loser edition on “Opaque Blue” vinyl (all vinyl colors while supplies last). The B-side of the album will also feature an exclusive vinyl-only remix of “USA = FAG NATION (Clipping Great Leap Forward Remixxx)” featuring Devi McCallion.

Lex Walton has also announced a few New York City performances for the fall of 2026, which include Wednesday, September 30th at Webster Hall supporting Frog, and Saturday, October 10th supporting The Format’s “Saturdays in the Park event at Prospect Park. She will then head to Seattle for a direct support slot opening for Wolf Parade at Showbox at the Market on Sunday, November 29th.

Sub Pop Signs Lex Walton To Release Her Music Worldwide In 2026 And Beyond

Today, Sub Pop welcomes NYC-based multidisciplinary artist Lex Walton to the label, releasing her music worldwide in 2026 and beyond.

In celebration of today’s announcement, she is releasing her unwavering and iconoclastic seven-song label debut, ULTIMATE LOVE FOREVER, which is out now on all streaming platforms from Sub Pop. Watch the blaring, absurdist official video for the record highlight, “Hipster Runoff,” directed by and starring Lex.

Lex says of the video, “In this video I tried to capture the lifespan of the blogosphere buzzband aughts-rocker with all of its triumphs and valleys and particular cruelties, culminating in the natural gasps of dextrorotatory histrionics when irony fails, and one is faced with the possibility of fading into obscurity forever. Starring yours truly as The Hipster Runoff, of course.”

All songs on ULTIMATE LOVE FOREVER were written by Lex Walton, produced by Lex and Dan Boeckner, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Ben Greenberg at Thump and Circular Ruin in Williamsburg, with assistant engineer Alice Cohen.

ULTIMATE LOVE FOREVER features guest appearances from Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs), Emerson Borakove, Alice Cohen, Brendan Dunphy, Emily Green (Geese), Greenberg (Uniform, The Men), Scotty Malcolm, Sarah Neufeld (Arcade Fire), and Sam Revaz (Geese)

Lex Walton (née Alex) is an American songwriter, actress, prose poet, and filmmaker whose work is defined by an unflinching confessionality and live performances by ecstatic masochism and flailing. In addition to her catalog of a dozen or so mostly home-recorded albums, EPs and singles, she has also recorded collaborations with Devi McCallion (Black Dresses, Girls Rituals), Geese, and Ezra Furman, written the pop music manifesto The Sound Rocker’s Prayer, and starred as lead character “Circle” in Louise Weard’s five-hour epic film Castration Movie Anthology II: The Best Of Both Worlds.

PASTE says of her song “I Wish I Was An M80”: “Walton’s wiggly, anxious power pop wades through pages of dead links and forum threads to get to its incendiary hooks … anachronistic collage of Edwardian portrait artists, country greats, and noise rock heroes…a roadside altar …With its lo-fi hissing and tongue-twisting one-liners....” The Quietus offers this: “For fans of early Jonathan Richman, NYC gutter punks Dollhouse, or staring at the fluorescent lights of the Walgreens ceiling on your third day withdrawing from psych meds, barely able to parse the words ‘Medicaid coverage has lapsed’ as a pharmacist misgenders you.
