Rejoice! For it is now the time of year when we thank you for being nearly the best customers in the whole wide world of music-and-also-perhaps-t-shirts-or-mugs-buying peoples far and wide.
And we do this, somewhat predictably, by trying to persuade you to buy more stuff - DEEPLY DISCOUNTED STUFF - from us!
It’s heart-warmingly crafty the way we’ve managed to turn a “thank you” into a “please” this holiday season. Anyhoo, here are the related details: Between now/last Friday and 11:59 PM (PST) January 6, 2019, buy $25 or more worth of stuff (not including shipping and tax) from the Mega Mart and get 20% off all eligible items. Buy $100 worth of stuff and receive free domestic shipping! THAT”S ON TOP OF THE AFOREMENTIONED DISCOUNT! WTF??
Believe us when we say that we’ve got some of the best midsize-indie-record-label-branded merchandise your heart can handle, and we’d really love to sell it to you and your loved ones this holiday season. Knit hats, gloves, and sweaters? We’ve got ‘em. Things designed to make you sweat (like sweatshirts and sweatpants, gutterbrain)? We’ve got those too. Trinkets and trash? Enough for everyone! We’ve also got a slew of really exciting 2018 releases that you might have missed out on from bands like Low, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Father John Misty, Green River, J Mascis, Luluc and so much more. Speaking of J Mascis and best midsize-indie-record-label-branded merchandise … we’ve got two exceptional new apparel items for sale this season, and they too are included in our Epic Sale.
Ineligible items do count toward the $25 and $100 thresholds, they just don’t qualify for the discount.
Please note! If there are any pre-order items in your cart at checkout, your entire order will not ship until the shipping date of the furthest out pre-order. That means your order will not ship until after the first of the year, and you will not receive any part of your order in time for the holidays. The solution to this is: place multiple orders.
All orders placed by December 17th are guaranteed to ship out before we close up shop for the year, so get your orders in early and often. Related to this impending warehouse closure, any orders placed between December 18th and January 6th will not ship out until after we are back in the office on January 7th.
Thank you in advance for your impending (and wildly overzealous, we hope) gift buying spree.
It’s that time of year again where we thank you for being the best customers imaginable in the world of music-buying peoples far and wide.
In an effort to show our unending appreciation of you, we’ll now attempt to coerce you into spending even more of your hard earned shekels with us this holiday season… by offering 20% off on all* Sub Pop Mega Mart orders over $25 starting today and going all the way ‘til 11:59 pm on January 3rd. We’ve also got a slew of really exciting 2016 releases that you might have missed out on from bands like Clipping., TAD, LVL UP, Goat, Kristin Kontrol, Morgan Delt, and so much more.
All orders placed by December 19th are guaranteed to ship out before we close up shop for the year, so get your orders in early and often. Related to this impending warehouse closure, any orders placed between December 19th and January 2nd will not ship out until after we are back in the office on January 3rd.

Love, Sub Pop.
*All Current and future pre-orders from excellent artists like Pissed Jeans and Jesca Hoop are excluded from this 20% off sale. These items do, however, count towards reaching your $25 qualifying order total, so definitely pick those up too!
You only turn 25 once and thanks to the thousands of wonderful people who turned out to the Sub Pop Silver Jubilee yesterday in Seattle, we did it right. Music was played, food truck food was consumed, beers and sangria downed, and it all added up to one of the most memorable experiences in Sub Pop history. We’re a very lucky record label to have fans like y’all. Thank you.
Here are a few highlights lifted from Instagram photos tagged #SilverJubilee. Thank you to everyone who shared their highlights on the online social stuff.
In very remarkable news, Sub Pop artists, Mudhoney, J Mascis (J’s flight was unfortunately delayed and he will not be able to perform today) and Sera Cahoone are playing ON TOP of Seattle’s iconic Space Needle tomorrow, July 11th accompanying a remote broadcast by our dear friends at KEXP. From 12-5:30PM tomorrow, KEXP DJs John Richards and Kevin Cole will broadcast live from the Space Needle’s observation deck, jamming some Sub Pop tunes and generally kicking off the Sub Pop Silver Jubilee weekend with the rare sort of aplomb that posting up for the day on top of the Space Needle can bring.
The entire event will culminate in the first-ever live music performances from atop the Space Needle featuring solo sets from J Mascis and Sera Cahoone, and a fully plugged-in performance from Mudhoney. You will be able to live-stream video and audio from the broadcast via KEXP.orgall day tomorrowTODAY!
There will also be interview highlights from label founder Bruce Pavitt, Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil, photographer Charles Peterson, and legendary producer Jack Endino. Also, I’m told that there will be surprises.

We are just a few very short days away from the Sub Pop Silver Jubilee, a self-congratulatory 25th Anniversary music festival in which we, Sub Pop Records, showcase of live performances from a dynasty-spanning group of artists either on, or associated with Sub Pop and invite anyone and everyone to attend free of charge. But taking over the entirety of a major metropolitan neighborhood for a full day is exceedingly difficult and costly, and we couldn’t have done it on our own. We enlisted the help of A LOT of friends, to which we are endlessly grateful. We also received crucial support from several businesses who have been great partners and friends throughout the entire process of putting together this festival. We couldn’t have done this without the massive help from the fine people at Nordstrom, Uber, Jones Soda Co., Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union, and Red Bull Sound Select. Thank you all from the bottom of our grateful hearts.
The Sub Pop Silver Jubilee is on July 13th—just a few short days away—so let’s talk transportation. We don’t care how you get here, as long as you do, but you should consider your options. You could bike, walk, bus, or drive. Georgetown is one of Seattle’s more isolated neighborhoods, so it certainly presents a few challenges in getting there via bike or by walking, and parking will be limited and no doubt tedious (when is parking in Seattle not tedious?). We’re working with the amazing car service, Uber, who are, rather unbelievably, providing free rides(!) to people who are attending the Silver Jubilee. Kind of astounding, no?
Uber makes it super easy to get around Seattle with just the tap of an app. From hybrids with UBERx to towncars from Uber BLACK, there is no need to tip and no exchange of cash or card is necessary. *All you have to do is download the app and enter the promo code SPSJ for your 1st ride FREE in Seattle up to $50! Already an Uber user? Use the promo code SPSJ50 for 50% off to and from the no doubt best-festival-ever Sub Pop Silver Jubilee."
Once again, here are the steps to get a free ride from Uber.
