Father John Misty and Goldenvoice present The California Wildfires Benefit Concert at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018

An intimate night of music to benefit those affected by the California Wildfires with sets from Father John Misty, HAIM, Jeff Bhasker, Jonathan Wilson, Lucius, Mac DeMarco, Nate Ruess, Rivers Cuomo, Rostam, Tim Heidecker, Weyes Blood and special guests

Father John Misty and Goldenvoice have teamed up to present The California Wildfires Benefit Concert to be held at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018.  The concert will include performances from Father John Misty, HAIM, Jeff Bhasker, Jonathan Wilson, Lucius, Mac DeMarco, Nate Ruess, Rivers Cuomo, Rostam, Tim Heidecker, Weyes Blood, and special guests. 
 
Tickets go on sale Friday, December 7 at 10 am PT, and the event is all ages. 
 
Net proceeds will go to The Southern California Disaster Relief Fund, which supports low-income families whose lives and livelihoods are affected by the current wildfires in Southern California.  Created by United Way of Greater Los Angeles, in partnership with United Way of Ventura County, the fund primarily provides longer-term support to help low-income individuals and families rebuild their lives. 

Through CharityBuzz fans can also bid on front row tickets to attend the California Wildfires Benefit Show.  This package also includes a commemorative show poster signed by participating artists and a one night stay at the Ace Hotel.

The Afghan Whigs To Perform ‘Black Love’ In Its Entirety At Two Special Charity Events

November 1, 2017 – It is with a heavy heart that The Afghan Whigs are announcing two special performances of their classic album Black Love in its entirety in New Orleans and Los Angeles along with performances from other artists. Long-time Afghan Whigs, Gutter Twins and Twilight Singers guitarist Dave Rosser was recently diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer.


 
“Dave Rosser has been my close friend and bandmate for over a decade now,” Greg Dulli commented.  “By doing these shows for him we hope to ease any financial stress he may face as he pursues treatment to combat his illness.  100% of the proceeds for these shows will go to his medical care.  I’m hopeful that folks will come out and show their support for Dave who will be performing with us.”
 
The New Orleans show will take place at The Civic Theatre on Saturday December 10th and feature performances 
from: The Afghan Whigs, Mark Lanegan, Ani DiFranco, Morning 40 Federation, King James & The Special Men, and C.C. Adcock & The Lafayette Marquis along with special guests.
 
The Los Angeles show will take place on December 14th at The Teragram Ballroom featuring 
sets fromThe Afghan Whigs, Mark Lanegan, Moby and Carina Round.
 
Tickets for both shows will go on sale this Friday, November 4th.

Join Us For The 4th Annual ‘SMooCH’ Benefit Show for Children’s Hospital (UPDATED)

This coming December 5th at Seattle’s Showbox Theatre at The Market, Sub Pop joins forces with KEXP in support of the 4th Annual SMooCH (Seattle Musicians for Children’s Hospital) Benefit.  


The first two acts on the bill were announced Nov. 6th - The Afghan Whigs and Sir Mix-A-Lot.
