Σtella (pronounced Stella) Shares New Single, “Omorfo Mou,” Off Her Vibrant New Album Adagio
On April 4th, Greek artist Σtella (pronounced Stella) will release her mesmerizing new record, Adagio, on CD/LP/DSPs from Sub Pop. The album features the previously released single “Adagio” alongside stand-out tracks “Baby Brazil” (Feat. Las Palabras), “80 Days,” and today’s new offering “Omorfo Mou” tightly weaves the Epirus, sonically intertwining traditional elements of Greek music with Σtella’s contemporary stylings The track is a levitative ode “to anything precious to us and how that’s worth giving it all we got,” Σtella adds.
Adagio is a pop record that feels like a warm blanket; it swaddles its listeners with nylon-string guitars, featherlight percussion, psychedelic keyboards, and staccato drums.
Written and recorded over the span of five years with a consortium of international collaborators, including !!!’s Rafael Cohen and British songwriter Gabriel Stebbing, Adagio is a 27-minute meditation on love and desire, rest, and time. The album was produced by Σtella and mixed by Edmund Irwin-Singer.
As previously announced, Σtella has confirmed an 11-date UK/EU tour beginning on April 7th in Berlin, DE, that runs through to April 18th in Rotterdam, NL. She will also be performing at MENT Festival in Slovenia on Feb 12th. See below for a complete list of shows.
