Sub Pop Signs the Dum Dum Girls

We’re very happy to announce that Sub Pop Records has signed the Dum Dum Girls! Having released an EP on Captured Tracks, a 7-inch on Hozac and a CD EP on Zoo Music the Dum Dum Girls churn out blissful pop that falls somewhere between The Ramones and the Ronettes. Which, in our opinion, is a very good thing.

But, why trust the highly questionable opinion of one of Sub Pop’s lavishly compensated marketing flunkies? You should really listen yourself! The music will do a much better job getting across what it is that we’re so excited about and demands way fewer smoke breaks.

We’re hoping to have Dee Dee’s first full-length out in the first half of next year—stay tuned for details!
