Σtella (pronounced Stella) Shares New Single, “Belinda”

Today, September 16th, Greek artist Σtella (pronounced Stella) has released a stellar new song entitled “Belinda.” The track was co-produced by Σtella and Rodaidh McDonald (Jamie XX, Weyes Blood, Youth Lagoon), and features recordings by Rafael Cohen (!!!), who also collaborated with Σtella on her 2025 standout release, Adagio.

Adagio was praised by Wonderland, who called the album “pure, potent and impeccably cool, it sounds like a crisp summer’s night sat drinking wine and eating olives.”  To date, Σtella’s catalog has over 300 million streams worldwide on Spotify. Additionally, her music has had prominent placements in shows like Industry and Emily in Paris

Σtella has confirmed a handful of International festival performances this fall, beginning on October 9th in her hometown of Athens, Greece, for Borderline Festival, with additional shows at the Cork Jazz Festival on October 24th in Cork, Ireland, and at Corona Capital in Mexico City on November 21st.

Fri. Oct. 09 - Athens, GR - Borderline Festival @ Onassis Ready
Sat. Oct. 24 - Cork, IE - Cork Jazz Festival @ St. Luke’s Church
Sat. Nov. 21 - Mexico City, MX - Corona Capital

What People are saying about Σtella:
The fifth studio album from Stella Chronopoulou, performing as Σtella, is simply breathtaking. Featuring her enchanting vocals, immaculate guitar work, psychedelic synths, delicate percussion, and her first-ever songs in her native tongue, Greek, Adagio is a “27-minute meditation on love and desire, rest and time.” Blending elements of psych pop, bossa nova, Tropicalia, disco, and more, this easy-breezy collection delights at every turn.” - KEXP

“Stella Chronopoulou’s fifth album as Σtella, Adagio (Sub Pop), sees the vocalist singing in her native tongue of Greek for the first time, producing a beautifully wistful cover of the 1969 Greek new wave track Ta Vimata and an earthy funk call-and-response on Omorfo Mou. Running at under 30 minutes, the nine-track record plays out a brief but beguiling new chapter.”
- The Guardian

“Stella’s new album “Adagio” is an ode to love and desire”
- Esquire GR

“Σtella has emerged as one of Greece’s most prominent pop artists”
 - Uncut

“the honey-kissed sounds of Σtella possess the timeless quality of myth”

- Roland

Watch the official visualizer animated by returning collaborator Jacob Kasar and edited by Leigh Riibe.

Later this week, Shabazz Palaces will appear at The Stranger’s Genius Awards on Saturday, September 12th at the Moore Theatre in Seattle. Additional live dates will be announced soon.

The Go’s Long-Lost Album Free Electricity Is Available Today Worldwide From Sub Pop

Today is the day, people! The Go’s Free Electricity, the group’s storied, long-lost album, is available today, Friday, September 4th worldwide from Sub Pop. The ten-track-long player was written, composed, and arranged by Bobby Harlow (except track one, which was written by Harlow and Dion Fischer, and track five, written by Harlow and Cary Loren).

Free Electricity, which includes the official videos for the title track, “All Dimensions Are Loose,” and today’s offering, “Secular Century Man,” was mixed and produced by Matthew Smith, engineered by Jim Diamond at Ghetto Recorders, and mastered by Jim Kissling at Jim Kissling Mastering in Detroit, Michigan.

All Music says Free Electricity “is simply an adventurous and exciting rock record that’s not afraid to lose control. As with everything The Go did before and after, what makes the album wonderful boils down to the combination of Bobby Harlow’s smart songwriting and the band’s willingness to walk their performances right up to the edge of whatever oblivion they’re currently exploring (4.5/5).” Meanwhile, Stereogum offers this of the title track “the sound of a garage-punk band taking things deep into the chaos zone…” Finally, SPIN says “The album captures the Go at a particularly adventurous moment…pushing the band’s high-octane sound into stranger territory.”

The Go’s Free Electricity can be secured on CD/LP/Digital from Sub Pop. LP orders from megamart.subpop.com in North America, Mega Mart Europe in the UK and EU, and your local record store will receive the limited Loser edition on Metallic Gold vinyl (while supplies last).
