PISS comprises poet and teacher Taylor Zantingh on vocals, filmmaker Tyler Paterson on guitar, Gavin Moya on bass, and Garreth Roberts on drums.
Taylor Zantingh is a writer, musician, and teacher living in Vancouver, B.C. She earned an undergraduate degree in creative writing and book publishing from Sheridan College in 2021. Her poetry has been published in Arc Poetry Magazine and Minola Review. She has served on the editorial teams for The Ampersand Review of Writing and Publishing and Savant-Garde Literary Magazine. She currently works as a literacy intervention teacher for children with learning disabilities.
Tyler Paterson is a musician, producer, and filmmaker living in Vancouver, BC. An alumni of the University of British Columbia’s film production program, Tyler’s 2022 short film “The Shape” achieved awards for both score and sound design. He was the leading member of Victoria-based indie rock outfit Bodies and has since established a community of collaborators in the Vancouver music scene, working regularly with Riun Garner and Juno-nominated producer David Vertesi, while producing his own music under the name Tyler Wu.
Gavin Moya is a musician living in Vancouver, BC. He studied music at Vancouver Community College where he was awarded four scholarships for academic achievements. He has been active in the local music scene since moving to the city three years ago, recording and performing with several artists including Arc Program BC graduate Riun Garner.
Garreth Roberts is a student and musician who has played and worked with various artists in the Vancouver area such as Semi-Athletic, Riun Garner, Lanyard and LoLa. He is currently an undergraduate in the Communications program at Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC and is set to graduate in Spring 2025. His father is Geordie Roberts, an instructor, choral conductor and voice coach in the Capilano Univeristy music program and has been a reoccurring member of the Vancouver Chamber Choir since 1986. Garreth’s mother, Frances Roberts, has been a music educator and choir teacher in British Columbia for over 30 years and has adjudicated at various choral festivals across the province. She recently retired from her full-time position as choir director at Argyle Secondary School in North Vancouver.
