The Pissed Jeans flew into Seattle for the weekend and boy are their arms tired. The dudes hit the Sub Pop offices on Friday for pizza and a meeting and then headed out to Ballard to play a show at the Sunset Tavern with the Unnatural Helpers and Sub Pop’s own Tiny Vipers. Despite technical problems with the bass amp and inferior Pac Northwest cinder blocks, the Jeans kicked total ass and left most of the crowd speechless and without the ability to clap in between songs. Saturday was spent record shopping with Andy K, photographing their balls in the photo booth, and pilfering the Sub Pop warehouse before their live performance on KEXP’s Sonic Reducer later that evening. The Jeans got tons of swag and when asked if there was one item that they all picked Andy K replied, “Yes. Nebula’s Charged on vinyl. Also, I tricked them all into taking copies of The Legend 45 as well.” Welcome aboard, boys—we’re incredibly glad to have you.
