On January 16, 2026, Ya Tseen (pronounced Yacht Seen) will return with their new album, Stand On My Shoulders, digitally available worldwide from Sub Pop. Led by multi-disciplinary artist Nicholas Galanin, Stand On My Shoulders is an incandescent exploration of existence, a celebration of love and connection to Land.
Galanin says of the song, “‘Twilight,” the third single from my forthcoming album, Stand On My Shoulders, “holds the tenderness of a moment that will never return.” It’s a song of love and presence, where two souls move together in rare alignment. The music pulses with shifting light as chords open into evolving textures. My voice offers a quiet invitation, met by Sidibe’s graceful harmonies, and Pink Siifu’s verse bends the song into another dimension. We close with the lines: “The twilight never blossoms twice. The twilight in your eyes is all I see.” For me, it’s a reminder that beauty is fleeting and often unforgettable.”
Ya Tseen has confirmed a 7-date run supporting Portugal. The Man. These dates will begin on November 6th in Portland, OR, and end on November 19th in Denver, CO. See below for a complete list of shows.

Galanin is a musician and visual artist who has been creating music, customary Tlingit carving, and interdisciplinary art for over two decades. His sculpture and video work have been shown at the Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial, Whitney Biennial, Sydney Biennial, Desert X, Art Week Miami Beach, and by the New York Public Art Fund. Galanin’s visual and sonic work are interconnected streams of creative flow, integral to the watershed of work he creates.
More about Ya Tseen Ya Tseen is a continually evolving musical collaboration guided by Nicholas Galanin/Yeil Ya Tseen. Born into the Sitka Tribe of Alaska (Tlingit) Galanin is L’uknax.ádi (Raven Coho clan). He began learning music from his father, Dei Kee Tla Tin (Dave Galanin, 1955-2021), an accomplished Blues guitarist who performed under the name Strummin’ Dog. In 2013 Galanin was in a serious boat accident while returning home from a hunting trip that broke his back and ribs. He recalls the stars overhead as he was airlifted from the boat, connecting him to his earliest memory of looking up at the night sky, and his connection to Land. Galanin has returned to this experience of intense connection to Land throughout his career, in many ways it guides his creative practice. Following the accident, his father gave him the name Yeil Ya Tseen, meaning Raven be alive, an affirmation of Galanin’s survival and an acknowledgment of his experience. After his father’s passing, Galanin renamed his musical project Ya Tseen (to be alive) as a connection to his lineage and responsibility to live and create as a part of Lingit cultural continuum.
Yeil Ya Tseen/Galanin has been creating music, customary Tlingit carving, and interdisciplinary art for over two decades. Galanin’s sculpture and video work have been shown at the Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial, Whitney Biennial, Sydney Biennial, Desert X, Art Week Miami Beach, and by the New York Public Art Fund. Galanin is a member of the artist collective Black Constellation. In 2018 Galanin raised his first Kooteeya (totem pole) as lead carver in Juneau Alaska, followed by a second in 2023. Galanin’s visual and sonic work are interconnected streams of creative flow, each integral to the watershed of work he produces and contributes to. Ya Tseen (previously Indian Agent, Silver Jackson) has performed across North America, Europe, and Australia, most recently with Portugal the Man and Samantha Crain to fund the rebuilding of a Tlingit clan house in Sitka. As Ya Tseen, the band has expanded into a musical project, a fluid collective woven from numerous voices and sonic signatures.
Ya Tseen’s first album with Sub Pop Indian Yard included collaborations with Shabazz Palaces, Stas THEE Boss, Nick Hakim and continued his long term collaborations with O.C.Notes, Zak D. Wass, Tunia, Jesse Hughey, supported by Derek Haukaas (drums), Nikko Van Wycke (Bass), Jase Ihler (drums).
With their second release on Sub Pop Ya Tseen expands their collaborative approach, featuring Portugal The Man, Meshell Ndegeocello, dreamcastmoe, Anel Figueroa, Jahon Mikal, Pink Sifu, Sidibe, Hanna Ben, and Ashley Young.
Ya Tseen’s newest album, Stand On My Shoulders, builds on connection and revolutionary love as the foundation for collective liberation that ran throughout Indian Yard. The album cover art is a monoprint created by Galanin, based on a photograph of his father in Tlingit regalia. The regalia remains, but the wearer isn’t visible, leaving space to be filled by future generations. With Stand On My Shoulders, Ya Tseen uplifts the gifts given to us by our ancestors and the collective responsibilities we have to future generations. The album is an incandescent exploration of existence and a celebration of the persistence of love and connection to Land.
SPRINTS’ sophomore effort, All That Is Over, is a remarkable second effort that pushes the band’s dynamics into richer territory, finding new space and nuance while also going harder than ever.
Written on tour buses, in soundchecks, and very much in real time, it’s an album set against the backdrop of a litany of atrocities - the war in Gaza, the wildfires in LA, Trump’s executive order denying the rights of trans people - that sees SPRINTS trying to make sense of a society gone mad. The 11-track long player features the standout singles, “Descartes,““Rage,”“Beg,” and “Better,” and was produced by Daniel Fox of Gilla Band at La Frette studio outside of Paris.
Since the SPRINTS’ inception, they have established a name for themselves, crafting a ferocious live show that echoes the band’s recorded sound, equal parts raw and refined, catapulting listeners into controlled chaos.
SPRINTS’ previously announced international tour dates are currently underway with a series of in-store/out-store performances in the UK and Germany, September 27th-October 3rd. The band will embark on a headline and festival run in the EU/UK tour October 17th-Nov. 20th.
SPRINTS will then visit America with a headline run in early 2026, beginning on January 28th in Minneapolis, MN, and continuing through February 14th in Seattle, WA. Then from March 10th through April 2nd, 2026, the band will on their full EU headline tour. Please find a complete list of dates below.

“New single ‘Doing Now’ is ace – potent and intentional, it finds Hannah wrapping her words around one of her best melodies to date.” CLASH
“A cozy, feel-good love song about wanting to be with the person you miss. Jadagu keeps it light and sweet here, with a bouncy beat and a soft undercurrent of longing.” [“My Love”] NYLON
“Hannah Jadagu’s “My Love” Is a Force of Nature” “Staff Pick,” EXCLAIM
“As an artist with a chameleon-like quality, shifting seamlessly from R&B to indie rock, Jadagu’s first preview of her new era is pure electro-pop. In “My Love,” she sings about a long-distance romance, craving to be with the person she’s enamored with and giving them all her time. It’s a song that you can imagine soundtracking a romantic moment in a teen TV show like Heartstopper, that captures the emotions of young love. “ “Best New Songs,” PASTE

Filmmaker, author, comedian, and cultural icon extraordinaire, John Waters, 79, returns with his second Christmas parody single (and third holiday single with Sub Pop), “John Waters covers ‘Little Cindy,’” produced again by his longtime friend and colleague, Grammy-winner, Ian Brennan (Tinariwen, Parchman Prison Project, The Good Ones [Rwanda], Ramblin’ Jack Elliott).
Waters says, “In the tradition of novelty records, which I’ve always loved, this year I pay tribute to one of my favorite hymns that was once included in my ‘John Waters Christmas’ album – sung by the ever-holy child vocalist Little Cindy. I have never been in drag professionally, but with this little sticks-and-stones gift record to bad children everywhere, I channel Little Cindy’s voice and aura, even stumbling over the exact words she did on the original 45rpm version. Little Cindy is beyond saintly in my opinion, a minor miracle, a human spiritual sacrament who brings her devoted sanctity to this psalm of southern sentimentality. For a few vinyl minutes, I hope listeners will agree: John Waters IS Little Cindy.
“Side B is beyond the valley of gimmicks, over the top of parody and underneath the mountain of linguistics, recorded in Pig Latin – a secret dialect my mother taught me in the ‘50s. I don’t take easily to learning a new language but this maddeningly ugly way of speaking is a tongue I eventually licked. I even used Pig Latin in ‘Pink Flamingos’ where Divine’s family skipped, happily chanting, ‘We Are The Filthiest People Alive.’ What better way to remind my public of this lunatic way of communication (even the Three Stooges spoke it in some of their 1930s movies) than to translate this beloved poem into a consonantly confused vernacular? ‘A Visit from St. Nick?’ As-tway E-thay Ight-nay Efore-bay Istmas-kray! See? I’m speaking in tongues! Want to clear your house of holiday party guests who have overstayed their welcome? Just play the flipside of this record, and they’ll run like they’ve just been teargassed! Ig-pay Atin-lay! Learn it, you little devils!” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - On Friday, November 8th, Sub Pop will continue its expansion into the hot holiday single market with the release John Waters’ new Christmas parody single “John Waters Covers ‘Little Cindy’” b/w “A Pig Latin Visit From St. Nicholas,” available worldwide on 7” vinyl and on all streaming services. “John Waters Covers ‘Little Cindy’” b/w “A Pig Latin Visit From St. Nicholas” is John Waters’ fourth single release overall for Sub Pop. It follows the 2024 release of “John Waters Covers ‘The Singing Dogs’ “Jingle Bells’” b/w “It’s a Punk Rock Christmas,” the 2022 release of “It’s In the Book” (which features Waters covering a stand-up routine recorded and made famous by midwestern-US comedian/actor/musician Johnny Standley in 1952), and his 2021 single, “Prayer to Pasolini” (his tribute to the legendarily controversial Italian film director Pier Paolo Pasolini). All of these wonderfully twisted releases are available from Sub Pop.

Today, Lael Neale is sharing the official video for the new song “Some Bright Morning,” which is available now on all streaming services worldwide from Sub Pop.
An outtake from this year’s critically acclaimed Altogether Stranger, “Some Bright Morning” is an uptempo burst of lo-fi rock n’ roll in the tradition of Loaded-era Velvet Underground (think “Train Comin’ Round the Bend”). The track is powered by a blown-out vintage drum machine and pairs Neale’s signature Omnichord with the driving rhythm guitar and explosive backwards soloing of her producer and accompanist, Guy Blakeslee. Neale’s radiant vocal shines throughout.
The song’s protagonist, like all of us, is searching for meaning and belonging in an increasingly polarized world, driving through civilization and filling up the gas tank yet again as world events take ever stranger turns. Neale’s poking fun at the “grass is always greener” mentality that results from the dominant gospel of salvation through consumerism, the marketplace of endless self-help products and techniques, a hamster wheel that’s always pulling us out of the present moment.
Describing the “Some Bright Morning” music video, in which she performs chores on her family’s farm, Neale says, “My dad is a farmer, and as I watch him working, day in and day out, I realize being an artist is very similar. Both are tending to work that is never done, in service of a broader life-long vision. There’s always more to do, new approaches to take, and leaps to make in the midst of mundane everyday tasks. You have to be motivated by a belief in what you are doing without attachment to the results. There’s a quiet satisfaction in the daily steps.”
Lael Neale’s fall tour in support of Altogether Stranger begins this Thursday, September 25th in Toronto at Wavelength at St. Anne’s and currently ends December 6th in London, UK at Ivy House. Please find a complete list of dates below.

Neale’s Altogether Stranger, which was released earlier this year, was written by Neale, with production and mixing by Blakeslee at home in Los Angeles, and mastering by Chris Coady.
Altogether Stranger is now available on CD/LP/All DSPs from Sub Pop. LPs purchased from megamart.subpop.com (North America), Mega Mart Europe (in UK/EU), your local record store and at Neale’s live shows will receive the limited Loser edition on Lavender (NA) and Magenta (UK/EU) vinyl. What People Are Saying About Lael Neale’s Altogether Stranger: “With this album, Neale manages to translate existential torment into strange and beautiful sounds, yet again progressing with the chimerical vision of rock & roll that’s uniquely her own.” ★★★★ ½ All Music
“While oscillating between these conflicting states, Neale delivers her near-apocalyptic songs with eloquence and sangfroid. If Altogether Stranger is Neale bidding adieu to Los Angeles, then it is an unforgettable farewell.” 8/10, PopMatters
