It’s Official: Sub Pop Records & The Head and the Heart Are Totally Doing It

In an admission of what may well qualify as one of Sub Pop’s worst-kept secrets in recent memory, we are exceedingly excited to publicly and finally announce that we are working with Seattle’s The Head and the Heart! Their self-titled debut is available digitally through SubPop.com and all major digital outlets as of today, January 11th, 2011. The record will be released on both CD and LP on April 16th in celebration of Record Store Day! If you haven’t yet heard this amazing band, please immediately download the album track “Down in the Valley” and the never before released “No One to Let You Down” (featuring Melodie Knight and Damien Jurado) here. And, because you really should experience The Head and the Heart live at your earliest opportunity, there is a complete list of the band’s upcoming tour dates, some with Dr. Dog and others with The Walkmen.
