On the face of it, it would seem a bizarre, technological culture clash:
the folks at iTunes (Apple’s slick, hi-tech, online music retailer)
vigorously promoting our very own Iron & Wine (aka Sam Beam:
soft-spoken, low-tech home recording genius). But, here in the future
seemingly anything is possible! And so, right now iTunes is offering an
exclusive 4-song EP comprised of 2 b-sides from the recording sessions
from Our Endless Numbered Days (“No Moon” and “Sinning Hands” -
previously available only on a bonus 7" single included with the first
vinyl pressing of Our Endless Numbered Days
), a Stereolab cover (“Peng!”
- prev. available only on a compilation that came with the 2nd issue of
the amazing arts and culture magazine Yeti), and a track from Sam’s
unreleased archives (“Friends They Are Jewels”).

And, you can (and really should) go buy one, a few or all four of these
tracks at the iTunes store, here:

So, hop to it! In addition to being strange and wonderful, the future is
also impatient for your money.
