Naima Bock Announces Live In Toulon EP Available Worldwide On All Streaming Services Friday, October 3rd, 2025

On October 3rd, London artist Naima Bock will release a digital EP titled “Live In Toulon,” featuring five exquisite live versions of songs from Bock’s 2024 album, “Below a Massive Dark Land,” and her 2022 debut, “Giant Palm.” This performance was recorded by Thomas Alberny as part of the “Faveurs de Printemps” festival, presented by Tandem, in Toulon, France, in April of 2024.

Available today, you can listen to an intimate live version of her song, “Takes One (LIVE).” Bock shares: “I played this show in Toulon, France, last year on a very hot day. It was the first time I had to play a whole hour-long set alone. I remember being extremely nervous and feeling a little lonely, too. I had bought myself a blue jacket with deep pockets and spent hours in the church and on stage before playing. By the time I listened back to these recordings, I had lost some belief in myself, for various different reasons; these recordings helped me to feel proud of myself again. They felt good, and I rarely have that with my own recorded songs. I thought they deserved to be released, and et tout le monde connaît la suite! I hope you enjoy them too.”

Following summer performances at UK Festivals like Deer Shed and Green Man, and opening for legends like Dinosaur Jr., and Neil Young and Chrome Hearts at Hyde Park, Naima will headline a nine-date UK run this October and January. The tour begins on October 16th in London, with additional dates in Bristol, York, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Margate, Southampton, Brighton and Liverpool. See below for a full run of shows.

Thu. Oct. 16 - London, UK -  St Matthias Church
Sun. Oct. 19 - Bristol, UK - The Folk House

Wed. Jan 21 - York, UK - The Crescent
Thu. Jan 22 - Edinburgh, UK - Voodoo Rooms Speakeasy

Sat. Jan 24 - Manchester, UK - Halle St Michael’s
Sun. Jan 25 - Liverpool, UK - Leaf on Bold St
Tue. Jan 27 - Sheffield, UK - Sidney & Matilda
Wed. Jan 28 - Margate, UK - Curve Coffee
Thu. Jan 29 - Southampton, UK - Papillon
Sat. Jan 31 - Brighton, UK - West Hill Hall

“Takes One (LIVE)” follows the release of her standalone single, “Rolling,” and 2024 record, Below a Massive Dark Land, which Uncut gave an 8/10, citing, “what is abundantly clear is that Bock’s creative star is very much with her.”

What People Are Saying About Naima Bock Below a Massive Dark Land:
“Amid a flurry of excellent new tracks ahead of Naima Bock’s second album, the romantic, timeless sweep of ‘Kaley’ is the pick of the bunch, that rich and resonant vocal playing magically off a melodic, punchy line of saxophone.”
‘Best of the Month’ - The Quietus

★★★★ MOJO

“A folky hymn to regret with a lovely, loping pace and sweetly lazy horn refrain” [“Feed My Release”] The Guardian

“…Features the kind of compelling vocal performance and lush, classy pop-rock orchestration we’ve come to expect from the British-Brazilian singer-songwriter.” [“Feed My Release”] STEREOGUM

“Marked by inner strength, the pervasive musicality of Naima’s work reaching fresh heights” [“Gentle”] CLASH

“Bock’s somnambulant vocals here bounding over a jubilant burst of fuzzy guitar and saxophone. It’s ace.” [“Kaley”] The New Cue

“Fans of Naima’s earlier work, and frankly that should be all of you, will be delighted with the familiar playful instrumentation, and swaying majesty of the choruses, while those looking for something new will be delighted by the subtle choppiness of the rhythms” [“Kaley”] For The Rabbits

“Horns blaze away, powering a glorious melody allowing Naima Bock the freedom to show off the potency of her vocal range. Make no mistake, it’s a cracker.” [Kaley] “Tracks of the Week” God Is In The TV

Directed by Niamh Bryson, “Better” is a song that “sounds like a love song but definitely isn’t,” shares frontperson Karla Chubb. “It explores the idea not of liking someone better, but only liking them when they’re better. It’s tough, sad, but honest and frank. It’s an old demo that was brought back in conversation by Sam and backed by Zac. It’s inspired quite heavily by MBV, especially the Loveless album, and has touches of Big Dreams by Amyl and the Sniffers.”

All That Is Over is now available to preorder on CD/LP/DSPs from Sub Pop in North America and City Slang for the rest of the world. LP orders from both labels will receive the album on limited-edition marbled coral pink vinyl (while supplies last). The album features the standout and previously released songs “Rage”, “Beg,” and “Descartes,“ the latter of which Stereogum calls “…a feverish slasher.”

Hannah Jadagu’s Describe: Her New Album, Will Be Available Friday, October 24th

On Friday, October 24th, Hannah Jadagu will release Describe, her new album worldwide through Sub Pop. The 12-track long player features the pre-release single “My Love,” along with highlights “Gimme Time,” “Normal Today,” “Tell Me That!!!!,” the title track, and today’s new offering, the buoyant pop song “Doing Now.”

On Describe, Hannah Jadagu learns the hard way that distance is relative. After 2023 debut album Aperture garnered glowing praise from outlets like The New York Times and NPR, Jadagu’s promising career took her away from her blossoming relationship in New York. “I was feeling love and gratitude, but also guilt about being away for my job,” she recalled. “Being a musician requires sacrificing time–And one thing about me, I’m a quality time girlie.” Her expansive second album sees her grappling with that separation, finding connections that extend beyond the physical and strengthening her own voice in the process. Describe verberates with that tension, between wanting connection and craving space. Its lyrics, as on her debut, ache with an emotional specificity that can only be pulled from lived experience.

But that distance also pushed Jadagu to explore new dimensions of her sound. “I’m super into artists that are able to mix analog with modern,” she said, and moving to California for the summer gave her the opportunity to meet new collaborators and experiment with analog synthesizers and drum machines. And while the warm hum of her guitar was her primary instrument for Aperture, she began to feel that her muscle memory of the instrument was holding her back. “It was freeing to be able to sit at a synth and drone on one note while I explored my vocals,” she said. ”I found that to be a bit more freeing than playing on a guitar.” Working with her co-producer Sora at his studio in Altadena and remotely on a few songs with Aperture co-producer and collaborator Max Baby out of Paris, Jadagu carved out a sound on Describe that is both distinctively hers and a total departure from the distorted guitar melodies of her debut (read more at Sub Pop).

With its collage-like soundscapes, combining a deceptively simple guitar melody with her hypnotic vocals repeating the song’s hooky, self-aware refrain (“Timid, I get so”), “Doing Now” showcases this exciting new direction with Hannah’s songwriting. Its accompanying and humorous official video was directed by Sam Wilbert and stars Hannah as “Le Han” at a local Basketball league match, where her team wins “the big game.”

Also being announced today are Hannah’s new live dates for 2025 in support of Describe. In the US, she will open for The Japanese House in Woodstock, New York on September 28th, before heading out as direct support for Gigi Perez’s headlining US tour October 7th through 21st. Hannah has also scheduled an album release show at Brooklyn’s Public Records on October 24th.

Hannah then heads overseas for a short EU/UK tour beginning October 29th in Berlin at Kantine am Berghain, and closing the tour with appearances at Pitchfork Music Festival Paris on November 4th and Pitchfork Selects in London on November 5th.

Tickets for these shows are on sale now. Additional live dates to be announced soon.

Earlier this summer, Hannah Jadagu released the Describe track “My Love,” the scintillating R&B electro pop song to positive reviews and has become one of her most popular singles to date.

What People Have Said About Hannah Jadagu:
“Awesome new tune…The track possesses the bubbly, warm feeling of infatuation” [“My Love”] STEREOGUM

“A cozy, feel-good love song about wanting to be with the person you miss. Jadagu keeps it light and sweet here, with a bouncy beat and a soft undercurrent of longing.” [“My Love”] NYLON

“Hannah Jadagu’s “My Love” Is a Force of Nature” “Staff Pick,” EXCLAIM

“As an artist with a chameleon-like quality, shifting seamlessly from R&B to indie rock, Jadagu’s first preview of her new era is pure electro-pop. In “My Love,” she sings about a long-distance romance, craving to be with the person she’s enamored with and giving them all her time. It’s a song that you can imagine soundtracking a romantic moment in a teen TV show like Heartstopper, that captures the emotions of young love. “

Watch Flock of Dimes’ “Afraid” (Official Video)

Flock of Dimes today shares new single and video for “Afraid,” the gorgeous opening track from her forthcoming album The Life You Save, out worldwide Friday, October 10th, from Sub Pop.

The poignant visual was directed by Spencer Kelly, and stars Jenn Wasner amidst projections of home movies of her younger self.

She says of “Afraid,” “This song is an intention, an incantation, a prayer. It says: I accept what has happened, but I refuse to let it dictate the outcome of my life. We all enter this world untainted, and our circumstances dictate the weight that we will have to carry throughout the rest of our lives. For some, this weight is far greater than it is for others. This song is a mantra for those who wish to believe that we can transcend the circumstances over which we had no control.

Flock of Dimes’ The Life You Save features the aforementioned “Afraid,” along with standouts “Keep Me In The Dark,” “Defeat,” and its lead single and official video for “Long After Midnight.” The tender, single-take visual stars Jenn and is also directed by Spencer Kelly (see July 23rd announcement).

Flock of Dimes will support The Life You Save with headlining US tour dates in November and December. The east coast run begins Thursday, November 6th in Philadelphia at Johnny Brenda’s and ends Wednesday, November 12th in Saxapahaw, NC at Haw River Ballroom. The west coast run will start Monday, December 1 in Seattle, WA at Barboza and runs through Friday, December 5th in Los Angeles, CA at Zebulon.

Thu. Nov. 06 - Philadelphia, PA - Johnny Brenda’s
Fri. Nov. 07 - New Haven, CT - Space Ballroom
Sat. Nov. 08 - Brooklyn, NY - National Sawdust
Sun. Nov. 09 - Somerville, MA - The Rockwell
Tue. Nov. 11 - Washington, DC - The Atlantis
Wed. Nov. 12 - Saxapahaw, NC - Haw River Ballroom
Mon. Dec. 01 - Seattle, WA - Barboza
Tue. Dec. 02 - Portland, OR - Mississippi Studios
Thu. Dec. 04 - San Francisco, CA - Rickshaw Stop
Fri. Dec. 05 - Los Angeles, CA - Zebulon

The Life You Save is available to preorder now on CD/LP/all DSPs from Sub Pop. LP purchased from megamart.subpop.com in North America, MegaMart Europe in the UK + EU, and your local record store, will receive the limited Loser Edition on Citrus (NA) or Pearl (UK/EU) vinyl (all vinyl color editions whilst stock lasts!)

Last week, Jenn announced a new online songwriting workshop through School of Song. The course will be taught online via live Zoom lectures across 4 consecutive Sundays –– September 7th , September 14th, September 21st, and September 28th–– with 2 lecture sessions on each class day to accommodate different time zones: 11 AM PT and 6 PM PT. Recorded lectures will be available and sent out afterwards for those who are unable to attend at those times.

Every week, Jenn will give a lecture on subjects specific to her songwriting process. Each class will result in a homework assignment to write a song using the techniques discussed in the lecture. In addition to the lectures, there will be weekly song-sharing sessions composed of peer review and an additional hour of live Q&A with Jenn (see School of Song announcement August 12th).

What People Are Saying About Flock of Dimes:
“Beautiful new song ‘Long After Midnight’ is sharply poetic, the dulcet acoustic guitar line reminiscent of Joni Mitchell’s jazz-adjacent chording. The tender, single-take visual stars Jenn and is directed by Spence Kelly – highly evocative, it feels like a courageous step forwards.” CLASH

“A beautiful acoustic meditation about offering help against your better judgement.” [“Long After Midnight”]  The Guardian

“In true Wasner fashion, it’s honest, raw, and beautiful.” [“Long After Midnight”]
