HOW FORMED:
They got together in 1989 as A Band Called Bud with Tripp Lamkins on bass, Dave Shouse on drums, and Scott Taylor on guitar and effects. They changed their name to The Grifters in 1990 when Stan Gallimore joined on drums — moving Shouse to guitar. Immediately, things began to happen for the Grifters as they put out 7"s on their own label, Doink Records.
