Father John Misty’s ‘I Love You, Honeybear’ Album Trailer

We couldn’t encourage you enough to read Father John Misty’s “Back Into the Gaping Maw of Promotional Correspondence,” an epic screed on behalf of the upcoming tour in support of I Love You, Honeybear, his highly anticipated second album. Details found within it include: his much-talked about performance of “Bored in the USA”on The Late Show with David Letterman, and a NSFW trailer featuring segments of …Honeybear tracks “When You’re Smiling And Astride Me” and “Holy Shit.”

On a related and perhaps unsurprising note, “Bored in the USA” earned a great deal of praise from the likes of Pitchfork (“Best New Track”) and NMEGrantland, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, Flavorwire and more.

Father John Misty’s fast-selling headlining late winter/spring tour in support of I Love You, Honeybear spans January 16th-April 25th. Sold out-out shows include Brooklyn’s Rough Trade NYC on February 12th, New York’s Bowery Ballroom on February 14th, Dublin’s Whelans on February 21st, London’s Village Underground on February 26th and Minneapolis’s First Avenue on April 4th. For up-to-date information on tickets please visit You should definitely get tickets now, they will most certainly not be available forever.

I Love You, Honeybear will be available on February 10th from Sub Pop. The album, featuring “Bored In The USA,” “Chateau Lobby #4 (in C for Two Virgins),” “True Affection,” and the title track, was produced by Josh Tillman and Jonathan Wilson, mixed by Phil Ek, and mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound. It’s truly a remarkable record of which we couldn’t be more pleased to stamp our logo on.

Preorders for I Love You, Honeybear are now available from Father John,  Sub Pop Mega Mart, iTunes and Amazon.
