Catching Up With No Age

Dean and Randy released their second Sub Pop LP ‘Everything in Between’ in Sept 2010. After extensive worldwide touring they decided to kick back and relax for a while. And by relax I mean finding even more ways to keep themselves crazy busy. What have those dudes been up to? Well let me tell ya! In January of 2011 they teamed up with fashion designer and photographer Hedi Slimane for his Rock Diary series. Looking sharp boys! This shoot led to their upcoming collaboration at Hedi’s California Song exhibit at MOCA. No Age will contribute a sound installation for the exhibit and will play the opening party on Nov 12th.
Speaking of MOCA, No Age shot a video there for the excellent Glitter 7" B Side “Inflorescence” at the closing party for “Art in the Streets”. The video was directed by Todd Cole who took the promo photos for Everything in Between and had them score his short film for Rodarte Aanteni.
And there have been some epic shows! In July No Flag united No Age with Black Flag members Chuck Dukowski and Keith Morris for one killer free show. No Age also managed to play an amazing set at the Pitchfork Festival despite it feeling like the surface of the sun in Chicago that day.
Somehow Dean also finds time to run the fantastic label PPM which is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this weekend at The Smell!
So, there you have it. That’s what’s up with No Age. Man those guys are lazy.
