SERA CAHOONE

Sera Cahoone - SERACAHOONE

2920

This is Sera Cahoone’s solo album. Sera played drums on the Band of Horses album and writes some wonderful songs, that might please you fan folk out there. Sera’s music reflects her love of both old country-western and modern lo-fi. Her unique sound bridges the gap between the two genres, like a musical love child of Buck Owens and Cat Power. This self-titled album tells the quiet story of simple truths–heartbreak, longing, and self-discovery.

Released: 2007-01-11 (CD)

CD - $10

I Love This Album

I listen to it religiously. I never liked country music. I tried to listen to country music before but I just could not get it. But this Indie-Rock/Low-Fi with the Traditional Country-Western background sound is wonderful. I think Sera has made Country music palatable for me…as long as she is singing it.
