HUTCH AND KATHY

Hutch and Kathy / Hutch and Kathy - RS-JB041-2

A repress of their 2000 self titled release. This is the last album made before these kids went on to do The Thermals. Word has it that the amount of time and effort they put into making this record is what drove Hutch to record that first Thermals album in the scant few weeks it took him. This record was worth that effort, and is even better now that it has been remastered and it has the added bonus track “To Heavens”. Enjoy the compelling vocal harmonies that weave their way through short concise folky pop songs. Mostly acoustic guitars and brush drums open up space for the occasional bass and keyboard parts. Lyrical topics run the gambit from personal to political. Brings to mind mid 60’s folk pop mixed with the sound of early 90’s K Records bands like Tiger Trap and Heavenly

Released: May 17, 2007
