It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Jim Yunker, Michael Yonkers’ brother and original drummer of the Michael Yonkers Band who played on Microminiature Love. Jim died yesterday following a long bout with leukemia. Our thoughts are with Michael and his family at this impossibly difficult time.
I’m Kathleen, Michael and Jim’s sister. I’ve always been
very proud of both of my brothers – always brave fighters
in whatever hardships they faced. Their creativity led them
down different paths and yet at times they blended their
talents in remarkable ways. Their bond was deep and now
Jim is in a pain free place where he will wait for Michael-
Michael – don’t hurry away! Knowing that people are
appreciating Jim’s Gifts helps me a great deal. Jim’s spirit
lives on! God Bless You All!
