Obits Debut & Red Red Meat Reissue on March 24th - Sam S.

5388

We’re gonna try something crazy here (but it’s not the first time, so we know it’ll work out in our favor). We’re going to put out two records in one day! First, we have I Blame You, the debut from Obits (CD/LP). Pre-ordering this will get you a very amazing, band-designed lenticular post-card and stickers and button. Also on March 24th, Bunny Gets Paid, Red Red Meat’s third album is getting the deluxe, double-disc reissue treatment. The only other Sub Pop release to get this honor so far has been Mudhoney’s Superfuzz Bigmuff, so Bunny Gets Paid is among good company.

Obits’ I Blame You here.

When will the Obits play in Boston again?

Alternatively: could Rick & Co. do a nostalgia show (Pitchfork, DLJ, HS) sometime? I’d gladly pay $200 (plus travel expenses to, say, NYC) to watch that.

Looks like...

Obits will probably be playing in Boston towards the end of July. As soon as that date is confirmed, we’ll get it up on the tour section of the site!

PLAY ASHEVILLE!!!!!

Hello. There is a small city in western North Carolina called Asheville filled with mystic wanderers and rabid independent music fans. As of late, it really seems that I BLAME YOU, the Obits kick ass first record, is certainly the towns most popular record. RED HOT. the Grey Eagle, and Orange Peel are some appropriate venues. Good rec. stores; Harvest Records, Static Age Records. PLEASE send us some good rock and we’ll send you legions of janky bluegrass bands. Deal?
P.S. John amd Rick reforming and playing again: sounds great, but don’t count on it.
