May 20th, 2008 is officially Mudhoney Day on the wall calendar in the Sub Pop International Global World Headquarters of America office. I know you’re scratching your head thinking, “How can I, Mudhoney fanatic that I am, celebrate Mudhoney Day?” Well I’ll tell you, presumably inquisitive reader! You pick up TWO new Mudhoney records (and maybe a t-shirt and a poster if you like)! We’re actually quite pleased with ourselves for unleashing The Lucky Ones (CD/LP), a brand new Mudhoney album, as well as a very deluxe, very special double-disc Superfuzz Bigmuff (CD) all on the same day. And due to our penchant for pandering to potential record-buyers, if you pre-order The Lucky Ones by May 20th, we’ll toss in a bonus 7” single. A new bonus 7” single by Mudhoney. And, we’ll toss in Mudhoney-related stickers and a button. So please, help us celebrate Mudhoney Day by turning your money into our money.

The Guy Running Myspace Page Needs To Be Booted!

Lots of people view Mudhoney’s myspace page. It’s a great, free way to promote your new album, recruit new fans, and maintain existing admirers of your music. But that guy running the page needs to be drop kicked. He doesn’t add the new shows regularly. There are mass shows that have been scheduled that he hasn’t even put up on the calendar, it’s a useless page. Hell, he doesn’t even update the page but once per month if you’re lucky. It’s time to get someone to run that page who actually logs in once per week and respects the band’s reputation. Isn’t that guy from somewhere down in Texas? Give him the boot, seriously.
