Free Ltd. 7" with Grand Archives Pre-order - Sam S.

February 19th is probably going to be a pretty crappy day weather-wise wherever you happen to be, and unless you’re excessively goth, you’re probably gonna be pretty bummed about it. We here at Sub Pop had the remarkable foresight to bring you a record scientifically-designed and precision-engineered to combat any symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) you might be feeling. Your February 19th is going to be a little brighter with the debut from Grand Archives. Or, you could just hide all the knives in your house and curl up into a ball until spring. We think The Grand Archives makes a lot more sense. And, if you pre-order The Grand Archives on CD or LP by release date, we’ll throw in a bonus seven-inch (because vinyl sounds a little warmer or whatever). And just like all of our online customers, you’ll also get a button and a couple stickers! Because that’s just how we do.

Pick it up here.

OH! And the limited seven-inch is on the rarest of earthly elements – white vinyl!

A real deal!

Grand Archives are the real deal. After a continuing motion of nearly all this new decade, Sub Pop reveals to us ‘the’ new hallmark moment in the transistion and transportation Indie rock must achieve. Grand Archives sounds seem to harken in a retro of direction of the hormonies of past ledgendary greats, simultaneously plowing forward with their own rightous cause, guiding all who would follow, a ‘new bar’ to aspire to in the Indie/rock movement. Sub Pop’s sweet pre-order promo-free 7"er and pre-order free audit make Grand Archive’s debut an easy slam dunk web sale selection. Way to go Sub Pop.

Oh Boy!

Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Oh Boy! can’t wait for the show, Oh Boy! Ok, I might have an adjustment period getting used to the new production methods on the LP – the lo-fi sound of the EP was music to my ears. Still … cant wait!

Hey!

Why can I not figure out how to pre-order this thing? The link goes to their album page but only the old one is listed.

Hey JamesBenjamin!

This is the info for the pre-order of the first Grand Archives record, which came out in Feb. of 2008. The new one, Keep in Mind Frankenstein, is not yet avail. for pre-order. As soon as we have the details on that sorted, we’ll get a news piece about that up and turn the pre-order on. I expect that’ll happen in the next week or two. Also, if you sign up for the Grand Archives email list (here www.subpop.com/account, under the “Groups” drop-down), we’ll send you a note about the pre-order when it’s up. Thanks!
