I'm Blogging From the Festival! - Dean H

So that’s a pretty exciting bit of the future that you and I are experiencing together. In other future related news, we’ve made an attempt to set up a festival related video channel.

The friendly folks at Kyte have provided yours truly with a video enabled walkie-talkie—I, in turn, am able to broadcast video, from the festival (here at Marymoor park) directly to the internet.

I haven’t mastered the technology yet, but if you want to watch the results of a grown man fumbling about with technology he doesn’t fully understand, you can follow my video exploits here:

Obits and Constantines have already played; I posted a short clip of the Obits (who incidentally rule) already. Check it out!

Haven't figured out the sound yet

In case you haven’t noticed. But the first show (on the big stage is Obits) and the second and third are Pissed Jeans. I tried to get something, but it’s hard to capture the awesome that is those dudes with this tiny camera. Maybe I should try talking to someone. That may come out better.

Great festival

Hey Sub Pop great festival. Mudhoney was awesome, Green River, shit just killer, missed seeing them the first time around, glad I got the chance this time. Oh, and that’s me (Gnarlene)and my friend Jerry in the crowd goes crazy for Mudhoney in the white shirts in the Seattle times NW section on the show. Nice poses no?
Oh, and I’m releasing a cool album later this month and you should put me on your silly label cause it’s a nice cross between Mudhoney and Flight of the Conchordes (who were hysterical).
Great job Sub Pop. Thanks again.

Mudhoney!

They never fail. Each and every time they bring it hard and I feel so lucky to have witnessed their performances on many occasion. I am in the Seattle Times NW section as well. I’m the blonde girl who is pointing and looking in awe at what she’s witnessing.

Green River rocked so hard that there are no words that could even justify it. It was INSANE!

Sub Pop, you put together a great festival.

Front Row

Mudhoney and Green River were outstanding. I flew in from Phoenix with my son just to see Mark Arm and it ROCKED !! We left the next day and picked up the newspaper, to see the write up on the show and there we were front row and center, screaming our heads off, fist’s in the air !!!
