“This long-awaited CD from the legendary Charles “Upchuck” Gerra finally sets right one of the lost chapters in Seattle’s pre-grunge music era. Essential for anyone who loves punk rock, glam rock, or just groundbreaking music of any genre.”

COMMENTS
Finally!
I’ve been waiting a long time for this Cd and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact I was amazed at how ahead of his time Upchcuck really was. Even the tracks going back to th 1970’s sound relelvent. The pop stuff was better than alot of what passes for alt/rock these days. ++
inspired!
From the glam punk inspired music of Clone to the almost country sounding ballad that is 5 O’Clock to the classical music fusion with techno and punk that brings Innocence out there is something that will appeal to everyone on this CD. Not in the bland and tasteless homogenized non objection wasteland of pop sort of way, rather in a fresh and ballsy sort of way the likes of which you hear once in a generation. The passion in upchuck’s voice coupled with a range that would compete with even the Diva Nina Hagen! A definite must have for any collection!
Gone and (at last) Acknowledged
Originally, I sought this CD out as an aging Seattle hipster adding to my “old school” collection, and have been pleasantly delighted by how well this material holds up and how contemporary and diverse each track is. It’s time that Upchuck recieves due acknowledgement for the formative force his work was in shaping Seattle music history.
Awesome CD!!!
I absolutely love this CD. It’s even better than I had hoped. Dance To Silence is a real booty shaker.
This could spearhead a major revival!
What a great CD! I only recently became aware of Upchuck through his former bandmate, Ben, from “The Fags.” I quickly became a fan and kicked myself for not discovering Upchuck when there was a chance to see him/hear him live. This album is a great snapshot of his amazing contribution to rock and will leave you searching for more recordings. If you were fortunate enough to know him/see him/hear him before this is a must-have for your collection.
CANT STOP LISTENING !
I finally got some of Upchuck’s music! Thank god this CD came out. Some of us were lucky enough to see the little bugger’s emotionally charged performance. Now I can listen and remember those pre grunge days in Seattle at the Vogue, when he was influencing all those wanna bees. I have my fav “It’s 5’O Clock”running thru my head right now!
