are from Moncton, New Bunswick, in the Canadian Maritime provinces, and are the first Canadian signees to Sub Pop. Though Forever Again is their second full-length release for (following 1993's Love Tara) they have an extensive discography of cassette-only releases, singles, compilation tracks, etc. Guitarist/vocalist Rick White says they play "sappy melodic pop music on top of thick distortion." Yep. Pitting their trong pop hooks and sweet boy-girl vocals against a wild sound, weird hythmic sensibilities, random noise, and found sounds, Eric's Tip find as much beauty in fuzz and static as in a perfect pop ditty. Live, they sandwich litle moments of weet relief between layers of deafening, invigorating noise which belie their mellow demeanor.
Credit relative isolation if you must, but Eric's Tip are one of the few truly unjaded noise-pop bands around, taking the best of modern without adopting the dogmatic "indie" stance that plague so many bands in..., well..., cities.

The ban wite:
"e stated in June 1990 when Rick, Julie, Chris and Mr. Ed Vaughan began eafening ourselves in the baement. e mved our bodies enugh to play some shows.
