HOW FORMED:
The Hellacopters came together when Nick, former drummer for Entombed, picked up a guitar and started playing with his musician buddies. The Hellacopters were inspired by Motorhead, KISS, MC5, and The Stooges and contemporaries like Rocket From the Crypt, New Bomb Turks, Teengenerate, and the Supersuckers.
HIGHLIGHT:
In June 1996, White Jazz/House of Kicks released “Supershitty to the Max” in Europe. The album blew the ears off listeners and won a Swedish Grammy for Hard Rock Album of the Year. The Hellacopters ventured out on tour, first hitting the clubs with The Dictators, then in arenas as the opening act for KISS.
